The councillor’s basic allowance is intended to cover the time commitment of councillors,
including attendance at meetings and incidental costs. In 2023/24 the allowance was
£1,713.36 gross before tax and was paid to 5 Parish Councillors.
Cllr Evans was co-opted onto the Council in December 2023 and therefore allowance is not
applicable.
There were 16 Council meetings during the 2023/24 municipal year (May – April inclusive). The
attendance by councillors is as follows:
