1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
2. DECLARATION OF INTERESTS by Councillors on any of the agenda items.
3. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS – to AGREE the minutes of the Meetings of the Council
held on Monday 2
nd September 2024 and Monday 30th September 2024.
4. REPORTS FROM BOROUGH AND COUNTY COUNCILLORS, CLERK AND RFO
5. RECREATION, PLANNING AND ENVIRONMENT
(a) Remembrance Sunday
i) To RECEIVE an update on arrangements for this year’s event on Sunday 10th
November.
ii) To CONSIDER quotations received to clear the ditch on the Village Green.
(b) Christmas in Bisley
i) To CONSIDER the quotation received from Nigel Jeffries Ltd for a 14ft Norwegian
Spruce to be placed as usual, next to the War Memorial for a cost of £720.00 + VAT
ii) Or to DECIDE if the Clerk is to obtain further quotations for the Christmas Tree
(c) RoSPA report on Pilgrims Way play space
To CONSIDER the inspection carried out by RoSPA on 25th September and DECIDE
what action to take.
(d) Cricket wicket
To CONSIDER the following options for the cricket wicket and DECIDE what action to
take
i) To REVIEW new quotes for artificial grass received as an alternative method for the
repairs required
ii) To CONSIDER applying for funding to support the project
iii) To remove the existing surface inhouse.
6. ADMINISTRATION / FINANCE
(a) Precept update
To RECEIVE any updates on the proposed precept requirements for 2025/2026
(b) Handyman provision
To CONSIDER the Clerks report on the handyman provision and DETERMINE how to
proceed.
(c) Roundabout sponsorship
To CONSIDER sponsorship opportunities for the roundabout at Church Lane and
Shaftsbury Road with A322.
(d) VE 80
To NOTE that the 80th celebration of VE day will be held on Thursday 8th May 2025 and
DETERMINE if the Council wish to participate in the national arrangements in place.
(e) Annual Parish Assembly
To AGREE a date for the next Annual Parish Assembly for March 2025. Also, to NOTE
that this event will not be shared with Bisley Residents Association this year.
(f) Correspondence
i) To NOTE the letter of thanks received from Chris Bixley on behalf of the Teas on the
Rec team.
ii) To APPROVE the request from the Scouts to build a bug hotel on the Village Green.
iii) To NOTE the petition started by a resident of Ford Road to reduce the speed limit in
Ford Road to 20mph.
(g) Quarterly bank reconciliation
To NOTE the bank reconciliation as of 30th September 2024, and expenditure and
income for 1
st April to 30th September 2024.
(h) Payment of Accounts and Financial Statement
To NOTE the financial position on 30
th September 2024, to APPROVE the payments and
AUTHORISE the signing of cheques.
