2. DECLARATION OF INTERESTS by Councillors on any of the agenda items.
3. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS – to AGREE the minutes of the Council meeting
held on Monday 5
th February.

5. RECREATION, PLANNING AND ENVIRONMENT
a) D Day 80th Anniversary Commemoration
To REVIEW the checklist and plans made to date and DETERMINE further actions
needed.
b) Grounds Maintenance Contract
To REVIEW the tenders received for the grounds maintenance contract and
DETERMINE how to proceed.
c) EV Charge points
To CONSIDER Surrey County Council and Connected Kerbs project regarding the
installation of EV charge points and DECIDE if Council wish to consider the
suitability of the car park at the village hall.
d) Website development and email provision
To REVIEW the current provision for website, email and IT support and CONSIDER
alternative suppliers.
6. ADMINISTRATION / FINANCE
(a) Policy review
To REVIEW and adopt the updated risk assessments.
(b) Annual Parish Assembly update
To NOTE the arrangements made for the Assembly.
(c) Village Hall Celebration
To CONSIDER the request received from the Trustees of the Village Hall
regarding the celebration of the 150th Anniversary of the opening of the Shaftesbury
Schools Chapel.
(d) Official portrait of HM King Charles III
To DECIDE if Council would like to order a complimentary framed portrait of the King
which is being made available to all local Councils by the Government. For
reference, it is 640mm high and 510mm wide.
(e) Surrey Playing Fields Association
To APPROVE the affiliation fee for 2023/2024 of £10.00.
(f) Pavilion cleaning charges
To NOTE the increase in the monthly cleaning contract for the pavilion by 2% to
£297.61 per month.
(g) Councillor allowances
i) To NOTE that the Independent Renumeration Panel has recommended
that the Parish Councillor allowance has been agreed at £1750.00 per
annum, subject to any indexation, and in accordance with the Statutory
Regulations that state it is only payable to elected Councillors and not
those co-opted.
ii) The panel also recommended that the Chairs special responsibility
allowance should be £1750.00 You have the option to pay the basic
allowance and the Chairs allowance to the Chair, should you
DETERMINE to do so.
(h) Internal Auditor
To RECEIVE an update on the internal auditor.
(i) Payment of Accounts and Financial Statement
To NOTE the financial position on 29th February, to APPROVE the payments and
AUTHORISE the signing of cheques
